Paralleling, Surveillance, Platform Observation

Post  ***** on Thu Aug 23, 2012 5:52 pm

All very intriguing behaviors from our friend Sasquatch. Why is interaction with our big, hairy, brothers and sisters limited to this sort of outreach on their part.

Many field researchers, and eye witness reports catalog Squatches peering into windows, escorting us through the forest(paralleling), creating watch areas-- or setting up camo'd observation areas overlooking human camps. Eyeshine, thermals, video evidence--Sobe bomb--- etc. support the fact they enjoy, and are curious enough about us--- to observe our behaviors in the wilderness, and even suburbia.

If avoidance was paramount, and they felt their very existence was best served steering clear of us, then why would they tempt fate so casually, and so often? They just might be far more confident that we thought.

These behaviors puzzle me, because as a researcher, my greatest desire is to have some meaningful interaction with one. It's encouraging ----their human interest ----for those of us who feel this way. They are obviously hyper-interested in us. I don't think they come across us by accident or mistake. The exception would be roadside sightings, but when we enter the wilderness, they often seek us out, check us out, and sometimes run us out! LOL

What's up with these behaviors? Could Sasquatches one day cross that invisible line, and come into camp with trade offerings, and greetings? There anonymous existence is threatened more and more every day now, by our technological advancement, and willingness to probe their favorite places? Are we approaching a watershed event, whereby our species reconnect, or they are finally outed on their own terms? I can only dream about a willing emissary from Squatchland walking into camp with an extended hand. I wonder who they would approach, a woman, a man? If you believe in habituators, maybe it already has to some degree.

All thoughts are appreciated?

The evidence and witness accounts do lead to the conclusion that Sasquatch are curious about us. If the Sasquatch are truly wise, they'll avoid any kind of mass contact with humans. Humans have a habit of destroying or killing almost everything, whether it's flora, fauna, the earth itself or the air we breathe.
I won't delve further in to the topic of humankind and our "intelligence".
Sasquatch should continue to show every caution towards humans.

Great point.

One of the many inconsistencies with believers is they are highly elusive but then also curious, hanging out by camp sites.

An animal, or human for that matter can be elusive but curious. It's observing humans under it's own terms. How is this inconsistent? If anything, the behavior is consistent with Bigfoot.
Humans remain elusive to birds in order to observe their natural behaviors in the wild. Humans do this all the time, why is Sasquatch any different?

On their own terms....key ingredient...they are in control of interaction.

You also rightly point out, our human history of interaction with large groups of other hominids, is abhorrent.

I'd like to think we are past mass-murder, infanticide, and biological warfare, but I'd prefer Squatches maintain there hidden existence as well.

That doesn't mean I don't selfishly want some personal interaction though! LOL

My fear is usually so difficult to overcome, that I've blown it in the past. This last event was an eye opener, when I was able to in low, soft tones communicate with the joker outside my tent.

OK in their own terms.... BUT in order to explain why no trails cam pics you have to say they wont go anywhere near anything made by humans or anywhere that humans have been.

Inconsistencies.

I haven't been fortunate enough to see a Sasquatch for myself.....yet. I try to remain optimistic, as hard as it is at times.
I am curious about them and mean them no harm, so if they are watching me look for them, maybe our paths will cross one day.
I always visit the same spots every chance I get and I just act naturally. No stealth, no camo, just me in the woods.
I'm reminded of one of my videos where I saw a Buck and Doe. All of us saw each other, all of were curious, but I took one step too many and the interaction was over. It was a lesson learned.

Burden, you always change the parameters of your arguments to justify what you believe. I've seen it too many times on here to become a victim of it.
I stated my opinions and if that doesn't sit well with you, then so be it. I'm done responding to you in this thread, or any other thread.
Have a nice day.

Animal Interaction

Post  ***** on Thu Aug 23, 2012 7:08 pm

For whatever reason, animals have little fear of me, and it's becoming downright odd. I don't claim any special gifts, or boast in any way regarding this, but this last trip I was blessed with interaction most don't experience in a lifetime. When seeing deer I will often look down at the ground, and bend down as if foraging, grasping clumps of grass, flowers, etc. and bringing it to my mouth. This seems to put all ungulates at ease, but last trip out, I actually was able to get within 20ft. of a wild mule deer. On this same trip a bull and cow moose, as I stated on another thread, approached to within say 30-40ft, while foraging on lichen, and moss beneath the surface of a beaver pond I was camped beside. I guess I'm not very intimidating! LOL

I think Sasquatch are so at home in the forest, that by observing us, and our difficulties, they are at ease and approach at will. A bright light, or brandished weapon can end this very quickly though.

7 day solo pics
