Three Yeti sightings in Siberia in a Week
Three separate 'sightings' of yetis have been made in Siberia in recent weeks, say fishermen and an official in Russia.
All were in the remote Kemerovo region, where around 30 'abominable snowmen' live, according to the country's leading researcher on the creatures.

Thanks Myles..we enjoy you too!
A third sighting occurred when a forestry inspector reported seeing a yeti in a national park, a government official said.
Sergei Adlyakov said: “The creature did not look like a bear and quickly disappeared after breaking some branches off the bushes.”
Interesting how behaviors overlap and remain consistent all over the world. A forestry inspector would qualify as a trained observer of wildlife I would assume. His testimony for me holds considerable weight.

I think it's often overlooked that a lot of these reports are from many countries.

When ( cough IF cough) the Ketchum DNA paper and associated video evidence is finally released and the Sasquatch is officially recognised we can expect to see a massive amount of evidence coming in from all over the globe. The people here are extremely reticent in regards to these creatures even though they are accepted as common (local) knowledge in some areas. I find it fascinating that there are those in positions of authority ( Park Rangers and the like ) who readily warn you to be cautious in certain forrestry/national park areas, they never tell you what exactly to wary of but it is advised to definitely not go alone. Strange when you consider that we don't have any large predators here and if it was in regards to the many snakes and spiders we have then why not just say so.
I have lost count of the stories and warnings from locals as I travel around this continent and the general consensus here is that due to the urban sprawl and lack of suitable habitat these creatures are populating smaller areas and protecting their territory and identitiy more desperately as time goes by. Australia is a big counrty however so I doubt we will see the intensity in sightings/encounters that seems to be prevelant in the US for quite some time.
Personally I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary and as an Entomologist spend a great deal of time in the dense tropical forests. I have had the feeling of being watched on one occasion and it was a very powerful and frightening feeling. I couldn't get out of there quick enough and while the scientific brain was telling me that there is nothing to be afraid of the gut instinct was to run. I am confident such a creature could reside in the US and Canada but not convinced about the possibilty here.
Time will tell all I guess...

Question
Hi Realbigfoot, where are you, if you don't mind my asking, as far as general location?? I might have missed that info if you've already stated it.

G'Day Blondie1, currently in Townsville for a week or two then am off to Innisfail, the rainforest in the mountains there is beautiful and the diversity in flora and fauna is exceptional. Why do you ask ?
