What does the Government Know

I find it interesting that the Government in a round about way does declare they believe in a creature that some call Bigfoot and/or Yeti.

It's my opinion that governments know far more than they let on and denial is their way of life. I can honestly say that I've never seen any black helicopters flying over head. If I do, the pictures and or video will be posted.
Black helicopters don't mean it's the government though.

You're probably right concerning 90% of the government. I'm sure someone knows something that the other 90% don't know about.

That's the trick though isn't it? It's one thing to say "the govt knows..." and conjur up ideas of secret departments, black ops and an inner sanctum who "know the truth about Bigfoot" and another to say" I wouldn't be surprised to discover that some people in the Forestry Service may have encountered some strange things or commented about them to their employees".


One sounds like a conspiracy "controlled by the powers that be"(with all the tin foil hat type of connotations) and the other just sounds like some guy who works for the govt's forest department may have some information he hasn't told everybody....

Actually,
you would be suprised the loyality of goverment workers.
2 of my uncles worked for the Goverment.
1 was a Tank Driver. He has told us some of his stories of what he did while others he can not since they are classified.
The other Uncle worked in the computer science area and during the time the goverment was working on the star wars plan he couldn't tell us anything he was doing.

Its really about the loyality they have so yes stories are made up for special black ops things.

sorry but your two anecdotes are not sufficient to speak for the entirety of the govt..... I worked for the govt too and my experience was different than that.

I do think people overdo their belief in this evil efficient govt that is hiding " the truth" as most of govt is just people, civil servants, not politicians or puppetmasters.

Right and your story doesn't make what you say true either so why even bother bring it up if your going to dismiss my 2 relatives I can as easily dismiss your story as well. But you want to just dismiss everything since YOU seem to feel you have first hand knowledge of how the entire government works. I gave a possible reason as why things are so secret to some. That is all I was doing. Not knowing what you do for the government but perhaps you can tell us all about your work and all the things you may not be allowed to talk about.
I can tell you my one uncle who retrieved Russian Tanks during the cold war, had a death warrant out on him by the Soviet Union. He would be followed by CIA where every he went. They were their for 2 reasons to protect him and make sure he didn't speak about his missions. He would get dropped in the middle of places to retrieve a tank. He would then drive it back to the pick up spot.
I believe him because he isn't one to tell us tall tales. And its been only recently he has ever decided to spill some of what he had done for the government specifically the army.
But you can believe it or not that is your problem Not mine.

these anecdotes of yours (as interesting as they are, and I am interested in hearing more about them) are in regards to serious intelligence/Military secrets stuff. That's a far cry from saying that the Govt would :

A) have enough interest is some remnant hominid/undiscovered ape to keep it secret

B) would have an entire department dedicated to keeping it hush hush among the thousands of forestry and park service workers . It's one thing to hold people who have taken oaths to protect the integrity of the military and intelligence community secret, cuz they have their lives to be worried about. It seems unlikely that we have managed to keep a bunch of civil servants covering all 50 states quiet.

I posted a story about an incident here on the Navy base I worked at until I retired. We had a night missile shot on the range. The missile hit the target and we had IR long range cameras and Night vision. Out of one of the side Seavans that made up the "city" ran a bipedal IR target. Its now known as the North Range yeti.
There is a story about some of the Air Force Range folks at Edwards Air Force Base know that they have squatches on base through their long range cameras and IR cams. It got to the point they had names for each of the creatures. When there was a shuttle landing, mostly night landings range folks were sent out in HumVees to make sure the Squatches didnt get to the landing area and get flattened by a landing shuttle. I know alot of Range folk from Edwards as we shared GPS Differential Ground station data on various tests. They knew of the story but nobody confirmed it.
When you say the government that is a big crowd. I have to agree with Skank Ape, Chances are if there is someone in like Homeland Defense or the FBI or other groups such as the military there is probably task forces that require certain clearances to "Know" what the government knows. There is probably a chance, the way the government works that if they DO know there are several different groups that "Know" and dont share the info with "Other" Government groups. As far as loyalty goes in the military or otherwise it goes about as far as you can throw a tank. People in the Air Force dont like the Army. People In the Marine Corps dont like the Navy. I worked at a west coast Naval facility and we hated the east coast sister facility.
I gaurandamntee you that the guys that go around and practice Spec Ops HATE the Deparment of the Interior and so forth. Different objectives, different goals, different pots of money and competition for funding keeps people on their toes.

People think I'm weird enough without me going all conspiracy theorist on them, but I do believe in Roswell, and I do believe they know of the existence of sasquatch and perhaps other creatures "unknown" to science. Kind of inspires me to join the CIA. Except they wouldn't want me. Especially now that I have been stalking bigfoot forums and blogs.
