So you shot a Bigfoot. How do you get it out of the woods? How do you get away without being harassed by otherBigfoot.

This has intrigued me. If one did ever shoot a Bigfoot.
1.How then does he/she get an animal that large out of the woods?
2. Assuming if there is one Bigfoot there is another near by. How do you safely remove the carcass and yourself out of the forest without being harmed.

Cool thread! I'd say you have to start with 2 rules:
1. Never go so far into the woods ALONE that you get out of your cell phone range. (It should have GPS as well so you can make note of your location.)
2. Never go outside of your cell coverage unless you are in a group of at least three. Ideally four, so one could stay with you as the other two go for help. You've got to try to get it out of there intact.
But then what ........

First, one should NEVER go hunting alone. Too many accidents happen. So one should have friends along to help getting it out. (Personally I don't agree with shooting a Bigfoot, but this is for hypothecal answers correct?)
Second there should be a fast pickup close by. To get it in and leave quickly.
But, one should remember the story of the miners that got harassed in their cabin at night, when they possibly shot a Bigfoot. Not a pretty story. So one should be prepared for an onslaught of bigfoot(s) defending their own.

All Great ideas and to pick up on what Kel and Green said, You need to get to a area that you can bait, where you know you have a vehicle and the appropriate tools to load em up. So that would be some type of campsite maybe one of the most isolated developed campsites. Something to cover the subject once it is down. This is just an addendum to what the others said.

Easiest way would probably be using a trailer on an ATV or a snowmobile. Failing that, you could always construct a basic sledge or drag rig (I swear there's an actual word for what I'm thinking of, picture two poles lashed together at an acute angle with a tarp or something between them), or even field-dress and carry the carcass out. As for protection from others in the area? Well, there's the basic principles of "haul ass" and shooting back if they become hostile, you might scare them off with a flare or similar. Personally, I wouldn't try to bring out the whole body. Just take irrefutable proof (a head, maybe), and book it back to your vehicle.

just take the head.
thats irrefutable proof right there and ample DNA to play about with

Ravinoff, you are thinking of an Amerindian tool called a Travois. Yes, it is triangular in shape used to carry/drag a heavy load.
Well, I think I'd only shoot a Sasquatch in self-defense. I'd have to decide what to do dependent on the size of the subject. If it was smaller, I'd definitely be wary of an adult/parent being in the vicinity. If it was an adult, I'd wonder about a mate, or if it was in a group.
I'd try to drag it as much as possible. I'd hope I was in a group of other hunters not only to help drag, but someone to take point or stand guard watching around your perimeter. If you were to hear more of them howling or closing in, maybe stone throwing, then you'd have to seriously consider abandoning dragging the corpse any further. Then I'd consider the previous suggestion of decapitation in order to flee more quickly. You'd also better hope for daylight, because I think you'd be tracked down at night, I think they have vastly superior night vision (who knows maybe even infrared type somehow)
