Ben Matine / Jim Jardineau, Hoax, better info please.

So I got sucked into 2 videos about these guys.
I wasted my afternoon, before realizing, it was proved a hoax.
I feel like the 1st video was, the bait. Clear photos & recreated video.
The 2nd video was, the tug that set the hook. Update- helos buzzing the island etc...

Tons & tons of REAL, TRUE, etc,etc.

But very little, that it was a hoax, just an occasional forum entry " You know it was a hoax, right?"
Sprinkled through the many Bigfoot Forums.

Could some one, please take the time to point me in the right direction, or provide more knowledge, in particular the event being proved a hoax.
