Central Valley California Bi-Pedal Primate? "Fog Ape"
Hey guys. Im new here.. and do not know much about Bigfoot.
I have been an avid duck hunter throughout California for the past 25 years. There has always been talk of a "Fog Ape". Duckhunters talk about encountering this weird creature in the thick Tule Fog around Duck ponds. They talk of weird sounds that put an end to some of the best shoots they have had. There are no large mammals that would mimic these sounds as Elk and bear have been removed form most areas.
I know Bigfoot have been sighted in a wide range of habitats. And i also know many old time duck hunters like their brandy.
Just wondering has anyone else heard, seen or have evidence of this "Fog Ape"?
Thanks
Joe

Never heard of it, but it sounds bigfoot-y. Or maybe even a relative of the devil monkey/skunk ape. Lots of regional variants and subspecies of napes.

Hey Joe,
Like you I have been an avid duck hunter in the central valley for 10 years now, more specifically in the Los Banos area. I have had an encounter like the one you are talking about. I was out hunting one morning and I heard these loud noises coming from a far that seemed to be getting closer and closer. The creature stopped about 30 feet in front of me and due to the thick fog and tules I could not see it just hear the sounds it was making. It was too loud to be a dog and when I shouted to see if it was another hunter I got no response. Once the noises stopped my dog started barking and whining like crazy. Truly gave me an unsettling feeling, next thing I know my dog took off towards the mysterious creature, and about 2 minutes later came back with his tail between his legs and was never the same after that day. I have friends who hunt on duck clubs every year and every so often they have stories of this "fog ape". I'm trying to start up a website of fellow believers.
Safe travels and good hunting
