Dyer's rollin them bones in Vegas...

I'm quite interested that Bigfoot Evidence hasn't posted much about RD and the alleged body. Any thoughts from the patrons here about this story?

He is a known hoaxer and pathological liar. His claims are not worth the time and effort to even call BS anymore.

Until he provides undisputable proof he will never be anything more than a con-man.



But it is interesting that Shawn has not put up his latest crap, it’s not like there is a standard that must be met to be on the blog.

Shawn last posted a bunch of blog posts about Dyer back in October and November. I haven't been keeping up with the news, has there been any actual developments in Dyer's current story since then or has there just been more talk?

Edit: I googled for recent news and apparently Dyer has shown his BF corpse to some people.

Tim Fasano has chimed in with a blog post. He sounds pretty confident that Dyer has finally found the conclusive proof that everyone has been trying to find for decades but then he says "I d0 know that the Bigfoot world is going to light up in the next few days and weeks as if it was 2008 all over again."
Er ... he does know that Dyer's 2008 "conclusive proof" was a horrendous hoax, yeah?

I read / copied this from the Cryptocrew Blog, it really sums up Rick Dyer and his claims fairly well.

11.) The bigfoot died and the gov took pictures and then left
12.) Rick Dyer was given a navigator for the bigfoot, when he could have gotten millions instantly.
13.) The corpse is being hidden, when we all know if real Dyer would have displayed it immediately.
14.) Dyer is a chronic liar who torched his own RV on the interstate just for media attention that he was a bigfoot tracker.

These are just a few points, but think.

What are the odds of seeing bigfoot. Take into account then the odds of seeing a bigfoot in the daytime. Then the odds that the bigfoot was people friendly. Then the odds that the bigfoot just happened to be taped and seen by Rick Dyer, a known horrible hoaxer and chronic liar. Then the odds that he had a rifle with him. Then the odds he had a FILM CREW wiht him. Then the odds that the FBI were called in and let him keep it. Then the odds that Dyer, the crew, and the expedition members have not leadked anything, then the odds that Dyer didnt immediately collect his millions or the attention.”

Not even that.
If its so easy to get to see a Bigfoot in daytime with a film crew.
How come Finding Bigfoot has failed at this.
Its like Bigfoots would be chomping at the bit to be seen the way they did with the Camping tent video
And How the hell did the UK film crew get a Bigfoot out of the country?

Robert Lindsay managed to tie all those points together into some sort of coherent narrative (and there really is a British documentary company making a doco about cryptozoologists for the BBC at the moment) but there's been absolutely zero confirmation on any of that from non-partisan sources that I've seen and Lindsay's tall stories from his mysterious "insider sources" have turned out to be rubbish any number of times so if he says it's true then the exact opposite is likely to be the case.

The current story is they've got it stored by a 3rd party in a freezer facility somewhere in the US. There is, of course, no actual evidence that any of this is true.

Dyer is a liar, and Lindsay is an idiot. Anyone putting faith in any of these claims has not been paying attention over the past ten years.

We will see what the documentary reveals when it is released.

(But in future I'd recommend putting quotes in quote boxes to avoid any confusion. )

That's about the size of it Dyer is a POS and even he seems to know that. But that tent video was really interesting, and I dare say compelling.

There is a guy "Musky Allen" from FB/FB who is a skeptic who's been on that site for years and he's the one that Dyer brought down to view the body, and www.cryptocrew.com posted that their sources say that Meldrum may have been there at the viewing yesterday also. Others were reportedly there, but I think we can all agree that "if" Meldrum was there there and confirmed it that would put things on a whole different level. I guess we'll just have to see who says what over the next few days.

I'll cast my lot on this and say two things:

#1 I am still baffelled as to why Shawn hasn't posted anything on this story on the BF Evidence blog. I may have heard Dyer on his radio shows call out Shawn, so maybe that's why there's no word here... But hell, over at BF Forums there are 40 people currently view the Dyer thread... 40! Bigfoot Evidence is a great place, but let's be honest it's not like this blog has an aversion to sensationalism. [EDIT] I just heard from someone elsewhere that Dyer accused Shawn many times of playing a role in hoaxing Sierra Kills to get hits on the BF Evidence website. I guess that's the reason why there is no mention of Dyer on Bigfoot Evidence today.

#2 I'll say that RD is a jerk to end all jerks, but that aside I do believe him this time. It's on a gut feeling for the most part, so please don't rip me a new one. Have compassion for this poor soul of mine, but yes, I believe Dyer's claim that he killed and recovered a body on Sept 6th 2012.

I totally understand where you're coming from and I actually envy your ability to invest some hope in a Rick Dyer story.

Yeah everyone needs to listen to this interview. The second half is mostly pointless stuff (they start conjecturing about the creature's possible habitual behaviour and whether it could have paranormal powers and go on and on about other cases) but the first half is now the biggest current story in the Bigfoot community.

I will say that if I'd gotten a production company to make a professional BF fake body then Musky Allen sounds like the exact guy I'd invite in to see it and spread the word. He was a BF believer for years who became an extremely vocal skeptic but who obviously was still really emotionally invested in having BF turn out to be real. It sounds like he's been involved in all the dumb FB/FB arguments so he thinks of himself as a really knowledgeable expert on debunking BF but he doesn't seem to have any familiarity with the Hollywood special effects techniques needed to fake a body and from the way he was struggling to answer some of the questions he doesn't even sound like a particularly good eyewitness. From a hoaxer's point of view he sounds like the perfect mark.

It's a really good story but I think there's still a good chance it's a hoax so I'm not 100% convinced. I'm going to wait until more evidence comes out.
