If you want some eye witness accounts (for comedy value I am assuming) I would check out the bigfoot forums. Many a crazy story over there.

It is a mystery isnt it? But dont get suckered in by the stories. If there was an ape out there it would have been found a long long time ago. People lie, people make up stories, people hoax evidence, people misidentify known animals, peoples imagination gets the better of them.

The mystery to me is why do people make up these stories. There was a scientific study linked over at the JREF about how depression and lonelyness or something along those lines leads people to make up bigfoot encounters. When you see how many people are willing to believe these stories without there being a shred of evidence to back them it, its no wonder people make up these stories.

If I remember correctly, last August some one wanted to know where to report a sighting and told of their en counter and this little troll along with another tore in to them like pit bulls on steroids. So good luck with anyone posting an encounter.

Just repost your topic in the moderated section and I can guarantee that won't happen.

You are right Oldtimer, that's one of the incidents on this forum that sticks in my memory. After that, no one would open up and share there encounters. It's another reason I believe in a proponent only section.

BOP... Believe what you will if you believe everyone lies about such things. For one it is not a ape and you probably couldn't handle the truth. This subject is difficult for many to believe. Yet, when you have a experiance with it for one it appears people don't hang around to check for proof. I think some have to realize the media and scientist are some of the bigest liars around. There is dna, hair and even crap as evidance and many good and bad foot prints out there. If you want proof go out in the woods and get your own proof. Don't mean to get on to ya; but, I have seen the actions of others to those that have witnessed this grand creature. I personally was taken out of contects on international tv. So liars are liars where ever you go and I think your going to have to wake up to the truth. I sure feel sorry for you folks that have to lie about it. Believe it or not, I don't need a dead one to believe.

So many people see these things and they are seen all over America. With the amount of people searching for them there is no excuse for not finding one.

The 'Finding Bigfoot' episode in Vietnam just jogged loose a story my Dad told me about his time serving in the Vietnam war. His patrol was making their way through the forest one time when they heard movement in a covered bunker. They surrounded it and some guys jumped in and were confronted by what my Dad described as "a dirty big orangutan".

Orangutans don't live in Vietnam. The only apes native to that part of southeast Asia are gibbons which look pretty different to orangs so I don't actually know what he might have seen. Maybe my Dad is a BF witness???

Bop, You make a valid point no matter how many people witness this grand being it doesn't help those that have not. The excuse of not being able to find one still doesn't mean they don't exist. Personally, I think once they have been sited they move on: except, in some occations. They have a mind of their own and I am sure they can smell and hear the searchers from a good distance away. They are smarter then many give them credit even if many don't even believe they exist. Seeing one is not always a good thing especially when one is unable to give the nonbeliever proof of this real grand creature.

Squatchmaster, Is your dad still around? If he is, make sure you do a follow up on the story.

Almost sounds like Charlton Heston from 'Planet of the apes'. You sure he didn't say " Damn dirty orangutan! "

BOP,... don't believe it until you see one. i've seen and heard them in their element. you don't just find them,... you gotta be DAMN LUCKY!!!

Welcome to the site Twitness; Personally, I don't believe you have to be damn lucky to see one of these grand beings. It could have to do with forcing a spiritual awakening or spiritual evolvement. To those that are open minded and are ready for truth. You would be more lucky to be able to research them without causing them any stress.

you are right, sasdave! i was trying to dumb-it-down for BOP! my experience was very spiritual and respectful. if you read my other posts, it will tell you who i am. i was over-whelmed by this creature's aura!

Thanks iwitness/d ; Yes it is a very eye opening and a good spiritual slap in the face. It is nice to hear you didn't go through the fear and terror. It was probably a female you seen as the males seem to invoke fear. When I seen the patterson footage I didn't have the fear like when me and my brother finally witnessed the huge creature cross our path. You know it is not a human in a monkey suit if it can take 3 steps to cross a 32foot paved roadway. One thing for sure if I am in the woods I will know if one is in the area, Thanks for your reply. 

Hi everyone, I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. We can't have guns and we've got no bigfoots! I watch in ore at what will be in my opinion the greatest find in our history. I would give my front teeth to live over the pond and research with you guys, you have a fantastic country! one to still explore and be with nature in the raw, that is fantastic!!!!!!

One reason I feel for the witnesses is that i've come into contact with big cats on 2 occasions, 1 was a sighting 20 yards away and the other I heard and smelt one. This was reported to Rothbury police force who said we've had other people report this. My sighting was in Northumberland its pretty wild up here, however, when I mentioned the sighting to family and friends I was made to look an idiot, this was 20 years ago and i'm still known as "Larry the cougar hunter". I know what I saw 100% but there you go, if you don't see it yourself its hard to believe.

Hi again Larry; This ain't no joke. Had to clarifie the area. My grandfather now passed away told us about a big cat story that happen in yugaslavia in the mid 40's. I am assuming this thing was seen by not just him. It was supposedly a large cat with a female's face on it. Sounds unbelievable, I am assuming this is not the same as what you are talking about. In the far past there have been stories of part human and part animal. Is it true god only knows. Have a great day.

Hi Dave, this was an actual big cat (cougar) no human face. I bumped into it as I was walking through a forest 20 yards or so away, I froze and so did the the cat. It just sat there and didn't make eye contact, it was looking over my right shoulder. I turned and ran in fight (this is something I was told I shouldn't have done!) it never followed thank God, the police took a grid reference and I was told that they would get back to me with an update, which never happened?  

Thanks Larry, thought that was what you ment; just reminded me of the story my grandfather told us, he was pretty serious. Eventhough, it is harder to believe in that then in a sasquatch. Heard of someone out side of town having a strange experiance of a bird like creature with a human face it, I think it was about 4' tall with multi colour feathers. Only some what hard to believe or fathom. Been told that it could have been a owl, not too sure about that though. Been unable to meet the witness, she moved from the area quite quickly. Some have suggested it may be related to witchcraft or  . Appears there was another sasquatch siting just in the last week or so in a area close to town. So far I have seen 1 of 4 strange huts that have been found in areas near trails; yet, in areas not normally walked. The latest siting was seen very close to the latest found hut. Hope to get out and get pics. The one I took pics of gave me the hebbies. Have a great day.
