New headline:
CDC says 10,000 at risk of hantavirus in Yosemite outbreak (everybody that used those contaminated tents between 6/10 and 8/24. Carried by deer mice, people infected eating contaminated food, touching contaminated surfaces, being bitten by an infected mouse, or inhaling dried bodily fluids. They said symptoms may not appear for 6 weeks.

I was going to Mammoth lakes this weekend and hike abit. Decided not to. Yosemite backs up against Mammoth Lakes through the Devils Postpile National Monument.
Many people go there every day through the Mammoth entrance then come back.
I will never forget my son and I were fly fishing on the San Juan river that runs through down there and we saw these doe's come through. THen right between my son and I this huge Mule deer buck flew across the river. I remember feeling helpless because I could no way get to him to protect him if anything happened. It was just too fast and I had no time to react.
Pretty place though but someone could get bit down there and come up through Mammoth from Devils Postpile. Who Knows
