Awesome post! I first became aware as a young boy because of a book I have (still do!) of Sir Edmund Hillary's enncounters with the Yeti.

Could there be any doubt? I think the perponderance of sightings and the lack of motive in creating a hoax adds more validity to these stories than any of the more modern ones

I really enjoyed that. I bet if I can ever get through my Dad's collection of Popular Science Mag's I could find that very issue. Unfortunately there are boxes and boxes of Popular Mechanics to get through first cause they're in front of the others.
