Brown Footage is Legit
This is dynamically convincing footage for me personally. The kinetics, and sheer mass of what's on that thermal are going to be hard to duplicate. If Cliff is correct on the location of recorder and subject I'm extremely impressed with this capture.

Re: Brown Footage is Legit
My only concern is "Why is it black?" If this is flir shouldn't it be white? The trees are a lighter color.
My general concern is... "Why Flir?" They all do it. even Finding Bigfoot does this. The best footage they got so far was the episode in Florida where Matt Moneymaker ran off after it like the idiot he is. It was a big humanoid shape, but thermal. I know they have starlight because they use it on them selves. No one uses starlight night vision and it drives me nuts. It's like the Green footage, you see a sasquatch shaped blob. At least T.A.P.S uses equipment that does both at the same time, why don't BF researchers?

Encourage you to read the write up...
Second paragraph of Cliff's write up...
Polarity was switched. This can reduce streaking and blurring, when what you are trying to capture is moving. White or black the size, leg angle, stride length and sheer mass are impressive to me.

I agree the footage is very intriguing by itself.
Cliff provides a good write up about how he processed the data and the possible conclusions. I would like to see the “Sasquatch Hunters” do a better write up about how they conducted the follow up investigation. Their web site provided little detail on the actions after the sighting.

Okay again I ask "Why Flir?"... If that thing was caught on Night Vision, it would make a stronger case. especially in the Green footage, that was up close. Night Vision would have gave way better detail. I know Night Vision is not going to sway skeptics, but what it would do is give researchers information that is lacking such as facial features.
If assorted facial shots come back as different creatures, then maybe this infighting crap would stop as everyone would realize that they all might be looking for what THEY thought they were looking for. I seriously think there is at least one nape out there as well.

Why Flir?
I guess I'm not understanding your reaction fully Tz.
Why not Flir? The fact this footage was captured at all is incredible. Convincing the skeptical is not the goal for me personally. The multiple species idea you've postulated is interesting, but has very little to do with this thermal footage IMO. I think that's becoming a bit of a distraction for you. I certainly wouldn't weight the quality of footage obtained by one's ability to capture facial features of the subject.
Again I'm not concerned with convincing the skeptical or supporting a theory, so maybe we just view evidence differently. I think this is very convincing footage kinetically. I'm very impressed with the way the subject moves, and it's avoidance behavior. Sure night vision would have been great, but it's hard for me to complain when considering the rare nature of footage such as this.

Because this is not the first. It is one of the bests though. Thermal gives you an outline but not much else. Night Vision, although it is not the best quality, still gives you details. Where the eyes are, where the nose is, how wide the mouth is and what it is shaped like. The only problem with it is everything is in shades of green and you have little or no depth-perception. (At least the NVG's we had in the army, but it looks like the quality is better now.)
My point is, that this is not really research. Anybody who is researching them knows they are out there and such a vid to the researcher would be exciting as he validated at least to himself that he is in the right place. But as a whole, this does not tell us anything we did not already know. We know what they are shaped like but we do not know EXACTLY what they look like.
Look at T.A.P.S. for instance. They use Flir, spectral Thermal, and starlight all in the same camera. (Or so it appears.) Imagine if the "Squeek" flir footage was also in starlight night vision. We could not only be able to see it's face but also exactly what it is doing to the object on that stump. We would be able to see how it searches it's environment. With the flir we can tell it is looking around, but we cannot tell where it's eyes are looking. Does it blink often or seldom? Does it turn its head left and look right? does it scan the trees? These sort of things can be crucial in finding them. Starlight even has an advantage that full color day footage does not. The eyes become more visible due to the reflecting of light.
I can understand using flir to locate them, as I said, with starlight everything is green. But once located they should switch to starlight or at least use a camera that does both at the same time. I just don't understand why this is not being done if they take the research serious.

This footage is Impressive.
I think some of the issues we have switching is that a lot of time you have a few Seconds to catch BigFoot.
It would be better that they have 2 camera's.
They fact this 2 have basically set up a Bigfoot "camera" Trap.
I think that they are thinking more and how others need to start thinking on HOW to catch an Intelligent being who doesn't want to be photographed.
They are moving in the right direction.

Seconds at most..
Footage, even thermal, is so fleeting and rare that real world application of technology interchange just is not going to happen. Best case scenario one could switch back and forth from thermal to starlight, not everyone has access to recordable starlight tech. These beings are so very adept at avoidance behavior, and concealing themselves even most footage is seconds long, not minutes. Out in the field, footage such as this is so very difficult to obtain it's beyond rare. It's almost non-existent.
Has anyone else noticed how long the lower leg is on this subject? There are many anatomical features on this subject that are simply inhuman IMO.

Explain to the do-da-dos of what the difference in the green vision and the infrared and such. One is that you can see at night while the other is you can see heat.

Re: Brown Footage is Legit
I have two missile quality FLIR cameras. One is a tau 320 and a tau 640. Both are about $5,000-10,000 each.
Why they used black on white I have no idea. But you down load a camera App from FLIR online to operate
your camera. They have all kinds of things you can do with the camera. Zoom up to 8X. Plus you can choose the
color palate on which the camera films. You can do white hot. Black hot, rainbow, ice (blue hues), even sepia.
So based on what you want to do with your tau FLIR, the app is pretty powerful and fun to use. A FLIR
camera has a little computer board on the back with two outputs. One output is the composite video, the
other is the mini USB cable connector that not only powers the camera (very narrow voltage range compared
what I am used to--- 4-6 volts) but gives you the control to the computer app from FLIR.

Okay so are the camera's that TAPS uses real or is that some sort of editing?. Thiers appears to do both thermal and starlight at the same time. When they do their video reviews sometimes the show the same pic split-screened in flir and Starlight. This is what I am saying. If this is a real camera, then why aren't Sasquatch researchers using these?

I think the heat is used for locating things that you cant see because of bushes or what not. The green is I think just so we can see whose next to us talking and giving us light that wont show off as light to others.

Danny I love your answers, straight and to the point. That's what I have to have to understand. Just paint me a picture.

My trip
Unfortunately, the hurricane knocked out all of our power for 9 days. We had less than 48 hours to make it happen after we got the power back but it was just too much to get done in too short a period of time. It was so disappointing !!!! We are going to do it in late March

Interesting, but still nothing on the scale of the Patterson film. If it were clearer and more defined, I'd be a lot more confident, the field is too uniform for my liking. My personal favourite pictures/films are the Myaka Skunk Ape and the Beast of Seven Chutes, both look much better than this.

Once upon a time I saw an enlarged picture of the Beast of Seven Chutes and I could see a man's face under the head of the wolf/dog man. I wondered if it was someone who was wearing a wolf skin over his head trying to fool us. I have not been able to find the picture since. But you really could see an old weathered face looking toward the camera grinning.

I am not familiar with these sightings. Can you please link to more info?
