Bigfoot encounters

Anyone have any personal sightings of a sasquatch they would want to share? Or any friends that have had an encounter?

I have one I will post later. It was and is the only person I know personally that actually had two different encounters to tell. Two separate times, one from him and one from his brother. Pretty cool to listen to someone you know, who is not BS'n you, tell of there experience. It was a first for me, so I was pretty excited,

Hey, Beerman! A friend of mine who is an avid bowhunter of deer had an encounter with an unknown animal while hunting. This man is an honest person of great integrity who is VERY religious and not prone to exaggeration. Anyhow, here's the story. I know NOTHING about hunting, so forgive me if i get anything wrong as far as the technical details. My friend Joe was setting up a row of reflectors leading up to his perch. the reflectors were a certain color. after looking down the row of said reflectors, he noticed two RED "reflectors", which were higher than the others. Imagine his surprise when these reflectors suddenly rose to a height of over 9 feet! Joe knew it was some sort of animal, but the color of the eyes threw him off. He had never seen something like that before. Joe froze as he watched the eyes(he could not make out the shape of the creature in the darkness) duck behind a tree. the creature then began "tree peeking", which freaked Joe out to no end. he left the location in a hurry, not sure what he had seen. When he relayed this story at a party I was not able to attend, my wife(who WAS in attendance and listens to me prattle on about Bigfoot)told him it sounded like Bigfoot and suggested he talk to me about it. The next time I saw him I brought the topic up and I could see he was SCARED just to TALK about it! He never returned to the spot. So a guy who knew nothing about Bigfoot described the red eyes and the tree peeking, which are two telltale signs of a BF encounter. I looked up the location on the BFRO website and sure enough, there was one report from about 15 years ago which was in close proximity to where Joe saw BF. Cool story IMO.

Here is my story, just heard this about 2 weeks ago.



I was having a beer at a friend of mines house a couple of weeks ago while working on my old johnson 7.5. While tinkering away his neighbor "Billy" came over to BS and see what we were doing. While talking about what we did on the long weekend, my friend mentioned that he made his way up to Yale, BC, to check on the Sasquatch Exhibit (which I recommended to him after my trip there), and while he was talking "Billy" cuts him off and says "my brother saw a sasquatch!"

Heres the stories

1 - His (Billy) brother was with some friends up around stave lake doing some touring around on logging roads. They pulled off to the side to have a little break in the car, and while they were sitting in the car (they were parked by a rock wall about 50-60 feet), a sasquatch walked right by there car, looked in as it was walking by, kept going for another 10-20 yards and from what "billy" said, they watched this creature scale this rock wall with incredible speed and agility, using all 4's, and when it reached the top continued to look down and watch them for a few minutes before it left.

Billy said this was "recent", but no firm date was given.


2 - "Billy" also had an experience at Hicks lake when he was about 14.........so around 1988. He was fishing in a small boat about 60-80 feet away from shore when all of sudden he heard a loud splash. When he turned around, it appeared the rock hit about 15 feet from his boat and it made some big waves. With-in the next couple of minutes he witnessed a grapefruit sized rock, and a volleyball sized rock thrown in his direction. He was never able to see anything, but was definately shaken up.


Sorry about the lack of info on this, I was not prepared to hear what he had to say, and he also had to end the conversation because his wife was calling him over. I do know this person ("Billy"), and have spoken with on many occasions over the last few years. He is a contractor, married, kids, and in no way would I say he is not credible.

I'm currently working on doing an onsite investigation with Billys brother, I will also be including some of our local researchers when this happens. I want to get some more info from him, and make a video showing the rock wall this thing climbed. I will keep u posted on the follow up.

Awesome, Paul! I'd LOVE to see that wall!!! I've heard MANY stories about them running around on all fours, but it's insane that it climbed a rock that way! as far as it looking in the car, those guys must have FREAKED OUT! Back in the late 70's I lived in the state of Delaware. For two summers when I was 11 and 12, I spent significant time at my aunt and uncle's house in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The house was rural and surrounded by forest and field. It was a small house and my two cousins and I shared a room...two of us would sleep in the bunk beds and one on the floor. One night when I was on the floor, I woke up to use the restroom. As I was returning to the floor, I looked out the window. I don't remember much detail at this time, but apparently I was concerned enough to tell my uncle who called in the local police. I spoke to the police and described a very large "man" looking down at me through the window. I indicated that I didn't recall seeing any clothing, but a lot of hair around the head and face. I never knew what the police said to my uncle or if any real investigation took shape. Over time, I have considered whether this was just a dream or some sort of half awake hallucination. All I know is that I was concerned enough as a kid to say something to my uncle and then have him call the local authorities who, to a 11 or 12 year old kid, appeared to take this report very seriously.

Cool story bro................ too bad I've read this exact story before somewhere else (the BFF I think)

and, if you have to preface your story with all this "religious, wouldn't lie,....etc" then your story loses right off the bat.

Spent a week in mountains of NC/TN and found a remote campsite with my girlfriend and we parked. We decided to hike up Appalachian Trail in darkness where no one else would be. We came upon a meadow and it was a full moon, with some grape vines on a trellis that had been put there by park rangers I'm assuming, and I was talking about werewolves to freak her out. This was '99-2000 btw. Almost on cue there was a ROAR that was deep, guttural, viscious, fast and LOUD. Me and my girlfriend both dropped all our gear and I think I pissed myself a little. The roar said "get the F out" to my subconscious and we went through darkness swiftly back down the Trail, didn't sleep, and that was it. I am a bass guitarist/vocalist, grew up in the woods of NC Foothills, so I know a bit about what's in the woods and sound, etc. This ROAR was definitely no bear, and just way deeper than I would expect any type of lion/panther out there. It just sounded like it ripped someone's guts out. My Flight Instinct just took over. I knew it wasn't a werewolf, but it sounded like every bit of it.

Same week at Cades Cove Campground I think NC/TN border, and me and the girlfriend went to the farthest campsite in the back of the park. I got the minivan I borrowed stuck on a stump immediately and made a bunch of noise. We were next to a steep bank that opened into another small meadow with another wooded patch across maybe two hundred yards. There were cows grazing and a barbed wire small fence at the top of the hill. We went to sleep and somewhere in the first break of light, my GF shakes me and mouths "listen, what is THAT?". Immediately I hear deep breathing with loud exhalations. Also very heavy crunching of pine needles/twigs/brush. My grandfathers had cows, and I remembered the cows at dusk. My brain immediately thinks "I know how cows walk, but why would a cow be checking out the camp site, and what about the barbed wire?". We were both pretty scared and didn't dare open the tent. But I specifically listened to hear the sort of clunky foot rhythms of a cow, and it wasn't anything like it. It was ON TWO FEET. It had a distinct ONE-TWO rhythm and would pause frequently. It kept making a sort of "WUH" sound like it was breathing really deeply. It had sort of THUD when it crunched, like it was really big.

Why the fuck would you go somewhere in the deepest part of the woods? Privacy? I would have brought along some serious firepower if I was going somewhere that deep! And extra, extra clips and shit man! Throw in a satellite phone, a gps beacon system letting people know where I was before hand and a 4 wheel drive, not a minivan!!! Dont forget some FLIR and flood lighting and anything else to give me an advantage to kill the sumbitch if he came that close!

If u don't believe Joe's story, fine, but I wouldn't come on here and make stuff up. I am a man of high integrity. Do me a favor, if u choose not to believe a story, fine, but don't insinuate that I'm a liar. As for religion, I know this man is DEEPLY, DEEPLY religious and had no reason to lie. If u read the story again,he had NO IDEA what he had seen, nor did ANYONE ELSE at the party until my wife mentioned it could be BF and suggested he talk to me. No one knew my enthusiasm for the subject, least of all Joe. Don't be so quick to question someone's integrity. It wasn't like he was making such an extraordinary claim.
As for mistaken ID, quite possible, but this guy is EXPERIENCED and what animals eyes glow red?

i had an encounter in the fall of 1973. it is a life changing experience. thats why in on this site. looking for real evidence. unfortunately, i have found very little if any evidence that convinces me as being real on the internet or on tv. my story would not convince anyone either.

sorry, i dont feel like sharing my story and having my honesty challenged. i know what i saw thats all. there are hundreds of stories , pick one. it was north of your location.
