These fires are 125 miles north of Sacramento ~ isn't this the heart of "BF Country" in California? I hope researchers don't find their "spots" burned out, as what happened to Mitch in Arizona last summer. Crying or Very sad

Kel
If you take hwy 99 up out of Sacratamato you hit the Marysville Yuba City, Chico Red Bluff Redding line of cities. I went to school at Cal State Chico.
Oroville is just east of that and there is activity out there (lots of Marywanna and criminal activity) But Weed and Bluff creek are out west of the Red Bluff
area.

Not being from Chico, I never got up to the north west part of the state. I graduated and came back down to the desert to work for the Navy

All the area where reported Bigfoot sightings are to the east of the fires, and west of I-5.
The area of the fires is just west of Mt.Lassen. Lots of scrub in that area. elephant

actually alot of the area the ponderosa fire burned once it came north and east out of the manton area are heavy forest, the elevation rises quickly, as you go north and east, i grew up outside of shingletown near viola, heavy forest area , the fire was stopped on its northern edge about 500 yards from my moms house she was finally able to return home today.

I hope your Mom is recovering from the ordeal, and I'm sure it was stressful on you as well. Glad to hear you all are ok. Fire also paves the way for renewal, I hope the overall impact is positive for your family.

Best Wishes Smile to You and Yours.
