Paralleling is often reported by witnesses. What's behind this behavior? Any ideas? Why would they do this?

Erm, could you explain what you mean by paralleling? I think I've got an idea of what you're talking about, and if it's what I think it is, it doesn't suggest anything pleasant for the human observing this particular behaviour.
