I will say in Joes Defense he is not actively pointing his camera and looking a lot of times in the videos
He has 2 cameras one mounted facing behind him and the other he just films around.
When he goes back up to check the area of what he saw of course it will be easy to spot him. HE isn't trying to hide.

Some of the theories of Big foot it knows how to hide itself in its environment. Walking in the thick woods even on a sunny day their are many shadows and can be easy for something that knows how to hide HIDE in the woods with out being noticed.
