Any medieval period movie. And yes, I had my own suit of armour and "fought" in tournaments. Took 3 years of sword fighting.

Heavy Combat or Fencing?
I was in Fencing, and Archery (I use a Mongolian re-curve) of course we always lost to the Crossbows LOL.

I wasn't in the SCA at all. I didn't care for their lack of historical accuracy or their combat methods. I trained at the place I used to work. We trained from a few old manuals that one of our guys translated from Latin. I mostly fought with sword and shield, or with an ax, mace or flail. A shield makes a very good offensive weapon too.

I sure miss those days.
